Sophie’s First Birthday

It’s 2021, and we just are out of a Covid lockdown. Home visitor restrictions are at 15 per household. We are thankful that we get to celebrate Sophie’s first birthday amongst family & friends - it’s just a relief to be able to see anyone at all after the last 8 months of intense lockdowns. Sophie’s first taste of cake is a Pandan Chiffon Cake - not a very good one, I’d might add but nonetheless, from then on, that is her cake of choice. Green cake, she calls it. On the menu is a homemade nasi lemak and my version of the famous Bedok Corner Cheng Tng, much to delight of the fellow Singaporean parents.
