A Pink Summer’s Day, January 2022

Both of our kids like the colour pink, so when NGV opened up a pink pond installation, it was something I bookmarked for us to do as a family. Summer provided the perfect opportunity to visit the museum and cool off at the same time, and needless to say, the kids enjoyed every minute of it. They danced and splashed in the pink hues, mesmerised how the water is pink. Later, Noah tells me, Daddy it’s the floor is pink, not the water! He turns 5 in a couple of months.

We dry them off and find a shaded spot, eating chips and guacamole while dancing to the background music. It’s one of my favourite memories of 2022. Many people don’t like summer because of the heat, but I must admit, summer is my favourite season.
