Vaculuse Estate Tasmina Wedding

“Jon was so easy to work with. We wanted more natural photography that captured moments of the day and Jon nailed it! Also he managed to capture the changing light through the day perfectly.” - Josh & Rebekah

Wedding Ceremony at Vaucluse Estate, Tasmania

When my wife & I got engaged, we were keen on getting married in front of a willow tree. We searched around all of Melbourne, found a few potential spots but nothing was quite right. When I rocked up to Vaucluse Estate in Tasmania and saw where Josh & Rebekah’s ceremony would be, I knew that this would have been the perfect spot. The grounds of Vaucluse Estate is simply breathtaking, a combination of beautiful gardens with a magical view of the mountains in the background.

I was lucky enough to be part of this wedding, especially with Covid putting a halt to many of my interstate weddings. Together with the amazing styling and organisation from Artaud & Co, photographing Josh & Rebekah’s wedding was a breeze - which is such a compliment to Lisa from Artaud & Co because normally interstate weddings require a lot more logistics and coordination.

I loved how amongst all the luxuries that comes with a wedding, Josh & Rebekah still keep it down to earth in many ways. Josh wore his Casio watch, while Rebekah packed a pair of Keds sneakers for the dance floor. Their vows were about the everyday things, and how their time together is like their favourite dish - lasagne - layered, rich and never enough. With 50 of their closest and dearest, their bee themed wedding was definitely a highlight of my year.
