Jonathan Ong

Born in Singapore, based in Melbourne City.

I believe in love.
I believe we are all made to love and we long to be loved in return.
And that everything we do ought to be out of love.

To love is to be in tuned with one heart.
To love is to love with all of your heart, mind and soul.

I hope my images would tug at heart's strings.
To evoke an emotion; to enable the viewer to smell, breathe, feel and experience each in moment in its purest form.

James & Julia. Married. // Weddings

Friday, 17.06.2011

“It was the happiest blur of our lives”.

During James & Julia’s wedding ceremony, I remember thinking to myself, “I’m in the presence of love”
They wrote their own vows; each personal and straight from the heart. They talked about how they loved the little things about each other; like how Julia loved it when James dipped her at the end of a song. They were married by a long time friend, and another friend wrote a beautiful poem which nearly moved me to tears.

It was a beautifully simple wedding; one that I will definitely not forget.

Their wedding was featured on Snippet and Ink. They got married at Alto @ GPO, Melbourne. Julia’s dress was from Jane Hill, while James got suited up in Filippia K and J.Lindeberg. Flowers from Cecilia Fox.

Andrew & Lauren. Married. // Weddings

Friday, 03.06.2011

It was an absolutely perfect autumn’s day for a wedding.
I enjoyed myself immensely; Andrew & Lauren’s wedding was essentially a great big party where everyone was just out to have a great time.
Kudos to Erin from Georgeous for the wicked reception lights.
Their wedding is featured on Green Wedding Shoes here.

Gerard & Maggie. Married. // Weddings

Wednesday, 20.04.2011

Gerard & Maggie got married in their nearby park and celebrated with a small group friends and family in their Sydney home.
They completely transformed their two bedroom apartment into a magical place of DIY goodness.
Thank you both for letting me into your lives and allowing me to be part of your intimate special day.

P.S. I love the fact that their cake cutting photo is with a pan of yummy Paella (spanish rice).

The Wedding Chicks blog kindly featured their wedding here.

Jason & Nancy. Married. // Weddings

“It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.” – The Little Prince

I love personal, intimate weddings.
There’s a closeness that money cannot buy; a warmth that no fire can bring.
Jason & Nancy did everything themselves; from the table napkins to the flower bottles.
They got married down at Boyd Baker House & had a awesome Skippy Van swing by to end the night of fun and celebration.
Their wedding is featured on Ruffled, here.
